Marty and Lucas last summer when they went to play in the Don Mattingly World Series in New Jersey. They leave tomorrow to Luna College to play and learn and live with eachother in Las Vegas (NM). It hasn't been easy and sometimes it hasn't been pretty but I've stuck with it, struggled to adapt and learn the blogging ways. The sadest part for me was when they firewalled me at work and I had to open a Blogger account and this sweet little Pace was left and neglected. I've kept it somewhat alive becasue I just couldn't let go into Blogging limbo. Well my sweet Pace, thanks for giving me a place to hang and somewhere to express myself. I promise to visit more often and to keep you updated and perhaps someday I will let you retire and you won't have to listen to my psychobabble anymore. But for today, Happy 1 Year Anniversary Dear Blog and may you have many more, knock wood. 5/27/2007 Happy Memorial WeekendThe Spanish Broom in the back yard is the most fricken beautiful bloomed thing I've ever seen. I admired it as I planted a few more flowers next to my grape vines which I'm happy to say are still alive and growing. I don't remember which vine is green or which is red and two of the plants appear to be doing better than the other two, which will thrive better is yet to be seen.
We finally made the switch from dial up to broadband and everything is much faster now that it is finally installed and running. I posted a bunch of photos of the plants around my house that are in bloon or ready to bloom at Flicker. What used to take 20 minutes now takes 2, I thank Fussy and her tribute to her Dad for giving me the push to just do it already.
I also want to thank and remember on this Memorial weekend, all the people who have fought for my freedom to choose what ever I want (even if it was choosing to be a slowsky all those years). Thank you. 5/5/2007 Sandia beats La Cueva, TwiceI had forgotten about the rain out game and thought the season was over. I didn't really want to go to the game today because I didn't think Luc would be playing and they were playing La Cueva (yuck yuck they suck). Any way, last night Lucas said they were gonna let him bat in the games and that I had to go to the game because the seniors were gonna be announced and the parents have to go out on the field. It turned out to be one of the best games of the season. Our guys played some solid defense and actually did some hitting today and they won both games. Winning the first one was good enough but they pulled in out in the second game in the seventh inning to break the tie and win. They have a small chance of going to the state tournament with these wins but it would be fine to end it this way.
Lucas had a hit first bat, walked and struck out once. I don't remember all his at bats but he had a good game and it was a great way to for him to end high school baseball. I've enjoyed watching him play all these years starting with Little League, then summer ball and now high school. I hope he keeps playing as long as he wants but after he gives his arm a break.

The season is over for all the teams and here are the final stats. Luc has some damage to his elbow and didn't play the last few games. He is scheduled for an MRI and physical therapy later this month. Hopefully he will make a full recovery.
Jacob is gettng ready for football by lifting weights and keeping his grades up. Just a few weeks left of school, hang in there guys.

Update: Luc will see the doctor on Tuesday and the teams play their last regular scheduled games this weekend in Santa Fe (roadtrip). It is always great getting to play and watch and it will be sad to see the season end but we did our best and that is all that anyone can ask for.

Luc has not been playing and has yet to see the specialist but the teams play on and the season is winding down. I hope he gets one more game in or he may have already played his last high school game.

I have a class tomorrow so I'll miss the first baseball game. Luc is on the injured list so he isn't playing. Jacob will be at the game and I hope he gets some playing time but who knows. It will be a rough day for the team tomorrow, wish them luck, they will need it. I'm leaving to Med after the game to visit Dad for his 85th birthday on the 18th so I will miss my game on Sunday. I have not bought a gift for him and have no idea what to get him. I really need to plan better.
